Fire destroys two houses in Sakai, Osaka, killing two people. Two of them, who appear to be residents of one of the buildings, could not be contacted.
25 fire trucks and other vehicles were dispatched to extinguish the fire, and the fire was extinguished after about three hours. According to police, a woman was rescued from the third floor of the burnt-out three-story house, but she was confirmed dead at the hospital. Another person's body was found in the burnt ruins.
