A 41-year-old in the Northeim district in Lower Saxony landed his van on the grass verge. It turned out that he had not had a driver's license since July last year.

Police also found a blank gun on him, meaning there was also a violation of the Weapons Act. The man was driving the van on a federal highway near Angerstein when he left the road because of the animal, the police announced on Sunday. The officers initiated criminal proceedings for driving without a license and prohibited further driving.
