The number of foreigners using international flights at Narita Airport has rapidly increased as border measures against the new coronavirus have been eased. The average number of nights per prefecture per foreign traveler from July to September last year was over 10 nights.

The name of the new company will be ``Plus Narita Lab,'' and from the new fiscal year onward, staff will travel to surrounding areas to plan tours that include overnight stays, and to develop and sell products using local products. The airport company said, ``We would like to take advantage of the fact that the airport is used by many foreign visitors to Japan, and work to make the airport a catalyst for regional tourism.''
