Eikei Suzuki, member of the House of Representatives, not indicted; papers sent to prosecutors on suspicion of violation of the Public Elections Act. Suzuki received approximately 10 million yen in donations from a construction company in his constituency that had been contracted for national public works projects.
Tsu District Public Prosecutors Office decided not to indict Rep. Suzuki on the basis that the charges were insufficient. The prosecutor's office stated, "Despite thorough investigation, we determined that there was no evidence to support the charges"
