Easter Sunday parades in Spain canceled due to heavy rain. For the first time in more than a decade, the traditional holiday procession could not take place in Seville due to bad weather.

There was heavy rain and snow in many Spanish provinces. Processions whose origins date back to the Middle Ages take place throughout Spain every year during Semana Santa, Holy Week. The festivities attract thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. In 2020 and 2021, the processions were canceled because of the corona pandemic.
