Man, 29, was in custody in Duisburg because he is said to have shot his girlfriend on a motorhome tour in Norway. In this case there will therefore be no trial.
The 24-year-old's body was found in mid-October at a lake about 300 kilometers north of Oslo. The woman's parents reported their daughter missing because she didn't show up for work after her vacation and couldn't be reached. Her boyfriend then became the focus of investigators and was found dead on March 8.
