Disaster waste in Ishikawa Prefecture will be accepted in Toyama Prefecture starting today. From the 15th, an incineration facility in Tateyama Town will be used.
The waste was once crushed by a private waste disposal company and then incinerated along with general household waste. This is the first time that a local government has accepted disaster waste from the affected areas of Ishikawaprefecture due to the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake. According to the administrative association, the acceptance was a trial run, and they plan to start processing in earnest from the 19th of this month.
