Daihatsu decides to resume production of two commercial vehicle models on February 12th. Production of 12 models, including the main model Tanto, will be suspended until at least March 1st.

Daihatsu Motor Corporation has suspended operations at its four automobile factories in Japan since late December due to issues with fraudulent acquisition of national certification. Amid concerns about the long-term impact on the local economy where it has many business partners, including subcontractors, the company is working with parts manufacturers and other parties to restart production for vehicle models for which orders to suspend shipments have been lifted.
