A former temporary employee of a subsidiary of NTT West was arrested for illegally taking out the company's customer information and leaking it to a list agency. Suspect Masahiro Kageyama (63), who was a temporary employee at NTT Business Solutions, downloaded and duplicated file data containing customer information of companies in Okayama Prefecture.
He was arrested on suspicion of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act. Police believe that the suspect illegally leaked approximately 9.28 million pieces of personal information owned by 69 local governments and companies, etc.
