Suspect Masahiro Kageyama (63), who was a temporary employee at NTT Business Solutions, a subsidiary of NTT West Japan, downloaded and duplicated file data containing customer information of companies in Okayama Prefecture from the company's server in January last year. , was arrested on suspicion of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act for transmitting and leaking the information to a list vendor in Tokyo, and was sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office on the morning of the 2nd.



Kageyama was in charge of the operation and maintenance of a call center system and had the authority to access a server that collected a large amount of personal information, and was interviewed more than 100 times in about 10 years during voluntary interviews before his arrest. Interviews with investigators revealed that the company appears to have repeatedly illegally downloaded customer information over a period of time.



In addition to downloading file data to a computer and sending it to list companies, he also sold the files by saving them on USB flash drives.



Police believe that the suspect illegally leaked approximately 9.28 million pieces of personal information owned by 69 local governments and companies, etc., and are investigating the details of the incident.
