Social media platforms celebrated what a Palestinian doctor did. She braved Israeli occupation bullets to save an injured young man in front of the gate of the Nasser Medical Complex in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army has besieged the complex with tanks for about 20 days. The doctor, Amira Al-Assouli, is a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology. She was a doctor in the same hospital and retired earlier, but she returned after the war to volunteer there.
