Social media platforms celebrated what a Palestinian doctor did, as she defied Israeli occupation bullets to save an injured young man in front of the gate of the Nasser Medical Complex in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

On Saturday evening, the occupation army sniped a young Palestinian man near the hospital gates. The paramedics were unable to reach him due to the Israeli army’s barrage of bullets, but the doctor, Amira Al-Assouli, caught the attention by rushing to save the wounded man.

The doctor, Amira, is a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology. She was a doctor in the same hospital and retired earlier, but she returned after the war to volunteer there.
