Confirmation of response from the unmanned lunar probe “SLIM” The second “lunar night” has been passed. This is the second time since February that the spacecraft has been through a lunar night with temperatures as low as -170 degrees Celsius.

SLIM, an unmanned probe developed by JAXA and others, successfully landed on the moon for the first time in Japan in January this year. The spacecraft is not designed to withstand the low temperatures of moonlit nights, but it has successfully survived the harsh moonlit night twice.
