Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, has put off procedures regarding the transition, citing that "negotiations are not yet in place" Chiba University of Science was established 20 years ago by Kake Gakuen, an educational corporation headquartered in Okayama Prefecture. The city initially planned to hold a committee of experts and others in January this year to begin deliberations, but the meeting was postponed due to reasons such as how the university should be managed.
The first meeting of the committee will be held on April 14th.
