On February 7th, a man believed to be of Vietnamese nationality was found dead inside a burnt car in Otaki Town, Chiba Prefecture. The day before, money was stolen in Yachiyo City, and a woman went missing after being taken into a car with similar characteristics.
Police are investigating whether the two incidents are related, and are looking into the whereabouts of several Vietnamese nationals who had financial troubles with the man who was found in the burnt out car the day before.
