Fatal accident in a commercial building in downtown Berlin. A person has been trapped in a paternoster and died.
The building complex houses an eye clinic and a center for physiotherapy and chiropractic. A large contingent of the fire brigade was on site. So far, there are no indications of third-party negligence. The person died at the scene of the accident, a spokesman said. The accident took place in the Schöneberg district near the Wittenbergplatz subway station.
