In Berlin, a person was trapped in a paternoster and fatally injured on Thursday afternoon. According to the Berlin police, the person had taken the elevator in a public building in the Schöneberg district near the Wittenbergplatz subway station and had an accident.
A large contingent of the fire brigade was on site. The person died at the scene of the accident, a spokesman said. So far, there are no indications of third-party negligence.
Among other things, the building complex in Kleiststraße houses an eye clinic and a center for physiotherapy and chiropractic.
