Fire broke out in a residential building in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain on Saturday night. More than ten people called for help.

With so-called fire escape hoods over their faces, the emergency services rescued 16 people from the house. Four people were taken to hospital, in one case with serious injuries. A total of around 110 emergency services were on site at the time of the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the smoke became a problem for rescue workers. Since it was cold outside, a tram was cleared and used for the investigations.
