Belgium will ban smoking in open spaces such as zoos and amusement parks. The new rules will come into force on December 31, 2024, and join other anti-smoking measures recently approved in Belgium.
Hoteliers stand up against the plan to prohibit smoking on terraces: "If they have to get up to smoke... Some would leave without paying" The ban on non-smoking in the facilities applies even if the sports space is being used for other purposes, for example, concerts.
