Alec Baldwin does not have to testify in court during the hearings where it is decided whether he should stand trial for manslaughter. It concerns the accident on the set of the movie "Rust", where a gunshot killed photographer Halyna Hutchins.

Baldwin and the film's gun supervisor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed are both charged and now the court will decide whether the case goes to trial, during a two-week hearing. The American Hollywood star denies the charges of causing the death of another. He faces up to 18 months in prison.
