An event was held in Kyotanabe City, Kyoto Prefecture, where people sat on office chairs with casters and competed for distance and speed. The event has been held by shop owners in the city's shopping district for 14 years in an effort to revitalize the region and attract tourists.
On the 23rd, approximately 40 teams from all over the country participated in the event, where participants sat on the chairs and kicked the ground with their feet to compete for speed and distance. There was also a speed competition in which participants raced across a 30-meter straight course.
