Actual manager and certified public accountant evaded taxes by over 100 million yen by hiding profits from land sales, etc. The person charged is Shirogane Higaki (82), executive director of Shirokane Medical Support, a company that operates pharmacies and drugstores in Minato Ward, Tokyo.
The funds obtained through tax evasion were reportedly kept in director Higaki's personal savings account. In response to an interview with NHK, Executive Officer Higaki commented, ''I have already filed an amended tax return and have almost paid my taxes. I am very sorry.''
