Melanie Müller is said to have publicly shown the so-called Hitler salute several times. The 34-year-old had denied the allegations and rejected any proximity to right-wing radicals.
The Leipzig District Court must now decide on the admission of the indictment and the opening of main proceedings. The singer has repeatedly been associated with the right- wing extremist milieu, but has repeatedly distanced herself from the allegations against her. The police had already searched Müller's home in Leipsig last year.
