85-year-old German falls 180 meters to his death in Austria. She set out on a winter hike and didn't return.
Her son called her hotel that evening, which in turn alerted the emergency services. After around eight hours, the woman's body was discovered by the mountain rescue team in a stream bed on Saturday night. An alpine police officer said there was no snow on the hiking trail where the woman apparently slipped and fell. The woman from Bavaria died in an accident in the state of Vorarlberg.
