19 years after the Takenotsuka Station railroad crossing accident, family members and others lay flowers near the scene in Adachi, Tokyo. On March 15, 2005, two people were hit and killed by a train when a safety officer accidentally raised the barrier at a manual railroad crossing.

The site was a closed railroad crossing that was only open for three minutes an hour during rush hours. Since then, progress has been made to make the railroad elevated, and the railroad crossing was closed two years ago.
