Two 19-year-old men and women were hit by a mini-vehicle at a rotary in front of a station in Kagamiishi-cho, Fukushima Prefecture. One died, and the other was left unconscious and in critical condition.
Police arrested Hideko Omokawa (72), a part-time employee living in the town, who was driving the light passenger car, on the spot on suspicion of causing injury by negligent driving. The police will now investigate the suspicion of negligent driving resulting in death.
