The crime occurred on Whit Sunday after the final whistle of an international youth football match in Frankfurt's Eckenheim district. The alleged perpetrator is 16 years old and played for a team from Metz, France. He is in custody in Germany and does not want to have acted on purpose, it was said when the arrest warrant was announced. The victim will become an organ donor.
