Hainan mountain city creates a hot spot for winter sports training in China. Since 2018, Baisha has hosted more than 5,057 athletes from 218 national and provincial training teams.
Seven national sports associations, including the Chinese Boxing Association, the Chinese Mountaineering Association, and the Chinese Modern Pentathlon Association, have successively set up training bases for nine individual sports here. The high content of negative oxygen ions in the white sand air helps athletes quickly recover their physical fitness after high-intensity training.
