Long-blooming carnations grown by farmers in Maebashi City are gaining popularity. Farmer Akimasa Hoshino has been growing carnations every year during the entrance exam season.
The carnations are grown over time in agricultural greenhouses without the use of heating to ensure that the flowers bloom for a long time. Orders are accepted through florists and the internet, and on a busy day, about 1,000 pots are shipped, and each pot is sold for around 1,500 to 2,000 yen.
