Fishing for white shrimp, also known as the "jewel of Toyama Bay," has begun. Fresh white shrimp were landed one after another at the fishing port in Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture.

There were concerns about the impact of the Noto Peninsula earthquake on white shrimp fishing, but there were no problems. White shrimp fishing reaches its peak in the summer and continues until the end of November. The first catch weighed approximately 270 kg and was sold at a slightly higher price.
