Kanagawa Prefectural Police announced on the 19th that an employee of the head office of the used car sales company "Big Motor" had ordered the tree to be pulled down in front of the store. The suspect Toshiyuki Kambara (51), a Big Motor employee who was in the position of an "environmental improvement promotion committee member" who patrolled each store, was arrested last month on suspicion of damaging property.
Police have not disclosed whether the suspect was admitted or not.
