Kanagawa Prefectural Police announced on the 19th that an employee of the head office of the used car sales company "Big Motor" who was arrested for cutting down a street tree in front of a store in Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, had ordered the tree to be pulled down in front of the store. He was arrested again on suspicion of causing damage.

In the incident in which a street tree in front of a Big Motor store was cut down, the suspect Toshiyuki Kambara (51), a Big Motor employee who was in the position of an "environmental improvement promotion committee member" who patrolled each store, , was arrested last month on suspicion of damaging property after ordering the trees in front of the Kawasaki store to be cut down.



In Kanagawa Prefecture, the prefecture cut down trees in front of the stores at Hiratsuka Shinomiya Store in Hiratsuka City and Fujisawa Store in Fujisawa City after it was confirmed that the trees had died. The prefecture filed a complaint with the police after herbicide components were detected in the soil.



As a result of the police investigation, it was discovered that this employee was suspected of instructing the employees to pull out over 20 Omurasaki azaleas that were in front of the Hiratsuka Shinomiya store. He was arrested again on suspicion of violation.



Police have not disclosed whether the suspect was admitted or not.
