Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese got engaged to his girlfriend Jodie Haydon on Valentine's Day. The two met at a dinner four years ago.
He is the first Australian prime minister to get engaged while in office, according to Australian public broadcaster ABC. "Love is a beautiful thing. I'm so happy for you both," Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong commented on Albanese's engagement on online networks. The 60-year-old head of government has been in office since May 2022.
