Yue Opera originated in Shengzhou. For more than a hundred years, generations of Yue Opera artists have been determined to reform and carry forward the art of traditional Chinese opera.
Among them, Yuan Xuefen, a famous Yue Opera performing artist and one of the "Ten Yue Opera Sisters", has been dedicated to artistic innovation throughout her life. The restored former residence is not only a place to pay homage to the predecessors, but also the inheritance and development of the art and spirit of Yue opera.
