"Hachimantai Aspite Line" connecting Iwate and Akita begins snow removal, praying for safety. The road is scheduled to open on the 15th of next month, and once it opens, many tourists will come every year to see the wall of snow that stretches along the side of the road.
However, Iwate Prefecture's Iwate Civil Engineering Center, which manages the road, says that because there is little snow this year, the height of the wall may be lower than usual.
