The Ministry of Finance announced a discussion of the idea of simplifying the registration of legal entities in Russia for investors from other countries, including unfriendly ones. Currently such investors now need a decision from a government commission.
The managing partner of the Nikolaev and Partners board, Yuri Nikolaev, emphasized that plans to simplify the registration for foreign investors are still “just an idea.“If foreign investors want to create a legal entity in Russia and invest money for business development, then in this case the licensing procedure can be simplified,” the ministry said.
