“If foreign investors, even from unfriendly countries, want to create a legal entity in Russia and invest money for business development, then in this case the licensing procedure can be simplified,” the Ministry of Finance said.
The press service clarified that this will require amendments to the relevant presidential decrees.
It is noted that currently such investors now need a decision from a government commission.
At the same time, the managing partner of the Nikolaev and Partners board, Yuri Nikolaev, emphasized that plans to simplify the registration of legal entities in Russia for foreign investors are still “just an idea.”
