Seiyu, a major supermarket chain, has announced that it will sell all its stores in Kyushu to Izumi, a supermarket chain headquartered in Hiroshima City. It has become clear that Seiyu will withdraw from Hokkaido, and plans to concentrate its management resources on business in Honshu.

All affected stores are expected to be taken over by Izumi's subsidiary ``YumeMart Kumamoto'' on August 1st. The Sunny store name will remain even after the sale, and employees will continue to be employed.
