Softbank and Nvidia to establish industry group to commercialize new AI technology. Approximately 10 companies from around the world will participate, including telecommunications giants Ericsson and Nokia.
Through decentralization, AI processing can be performed without going through large-scale data centers, and advanced AI services can be provided on smartphones. By installing AI functions in base stations, it is possible to automate the control of multiple base stations and eliminate the difficulty in connecting due to calls and communications being concentrated on a specific base station.
