Railway companies introduce new system to collate lost item information using chat and AI. A project to communicate with people who have lost something inside a station or on a train using the chat function of a communication app and AI image recognition technology to efficiently search for it.

This system has been introduced so far at JR Kyushu, Keio Electric Railway, etc., and is said to have led to a reduction in response times. The railway company receives up to 200,000 inquiries about lost items each year, and we hope that this will significantly reduce the burden of responding to inquiries over the phone.
