Orix to acquire a shipping company that has been in business for over 50 years, with an estimated purchase price of 300 billion yen. Orix will acquire Santoku Senpaku, a company located in Osaka City, and plans to acquire all the shares by next month.

This company owns 67 vessels, including car carriers and container ships, and is engaged in the business of leasing out vessels to domestic and foreign shipping companies. The company was founded in 1972 and was built up by its founder in a single generation, but last year, the founder passed away.
