Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will provide support of approximately 1 billion yen for semiconductor technology development for autonomous driving etc. Last December, automakers such as Toyota Motor Corporation and Honda, and semiconductor-related companies such as Renesas Electronics, established a new organization, ASRA.
The organization aims to develop the technology by 2028, four years from now. The company aims to establish this technology and install it in the mass-produced vehicles of each company from 2030 onwards.
