In response to the 2024 issue, the maximum speed for large trucks on expressways will be increased to 90km/h. There are concerns that the overtime work regulations for truck drivers will be tightened from the 1st, leading to worsening labor shortages and a decline in transportation volumes.
The National Police Agency says, ``We would like to ask everyone to drive safely and abide by traffic rules, especially on expressway, as there is a risk of serious accidents.'' The increase in the number of large trailers has been postponed.
