For the first time, the bicycle industry is selling more e-bikes than conventional bicycles. German economy is weakening, but there is no sign of any reluctance to buy bicycles.
The two-wheeler industry association is satisfied with sales last year. According to the ZIV, demand remains high for e- bikes in Germany. The association wants to present concrete figures from the industry for the past year in Berlin this Wednesday, says Burkhard Stork, managing director of ZIV.
