AKORT stated that there are no prerequisites for a banana shortage in Russia. Chairman of the Presidium of the Association of Retail Trade Companies (AKORT) Igor Karavaev said that a significant number of exporters are represented in Ecuador.
According to him, Russia’s experience of sanctions pressure has shown that suppliers and retailers can effectively rebuild logistics. “We should not expect a banana crisis in the coming months,” he said. Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor reported that India began supplying bananas to Russia.
