Halle (AP) - The handball Bundesliga club SV Union Halle-Neustadt can present the third new addition for the coming season.

Edita Nukovic has received a one-year contract.

The personnel planning is now complete.

The association announced this on Friday on its homepage.

The 26-year-old cyclist from Denmark was most recently on the floor for the Swedish first division club Skövde HF.

The sports management had previously introduced Julia Niewiadomska and Simone Spur Petersen from Bundesliga competitor HSG Bensheim Auerbach as newcomers.

Nukovic is next to Helena Mikkelsen, Cecilia Woller and Petersen the fourth Danish player in the squad of the first division club from Saxony-Anhalt for the coming season.

"We wanted to find a player who strengthens our inner block in defense and can be easily integrated into the team," said sporting director Jan-Henning Himborn.

SV Union Halle-Neustadt is the first stop in Nukovic's professional career in Germany.
