The capital of Equatorial Guinea, Malabo hosts on May 27 and 28, two extraordinary summits of heads of state of the African Union.
One on the humanitarian situation, the other on terrorism and unconstitutional changes of government in Africa.
At the heart of the second meeting is an important text, a declaration adopted in Ghana by representatives of the AU, but also of civil society and academics.
The text entitled “Accra Declaration” clearly states the link between bad governance and coups d'etat.
Will this declaration be endorsed by heads of state?
Does it risk being watered down or simply forgotten in the archives of the pan-African organization?
