Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo arm of Emirates Airlines, received its latest Boeing 777F aircraft to enhance the capacity of its fleet and meet the explosive growth in demand.

Emirates Airlines Senior Vice President for the Department of Shipping, Nabil Sultan, said that the new aircraft will help increase cargo capacity, enhance the ability to deliver vital goods, and facilitate global trade.

He added, "Despite the difficult challenges this year, the air cargo industry is witnessing a great prosperity since the outbreak of the (Covid-19) pandemic," stressing that Emirates Air Cargo will continue its journey as one of the largest and best air cargo companies by investing in its fleet. Its global network, technology and world-class logistics infrastructure at our hub in Dubai and beyond.

According to the company, most global markets are recording jumps in demand, including China, revealing that it will operate four additional freight flights every week to serve China.

Starting this week, the airline will operate six direct flights to Shanghai, two flights to Beijing and four flights to Guangzhou, adding more than 400 tons of cargo capacity to and from China.

Emirates SkyCargo confirmed that it has plans to increase flights to Hanoi and Sydney and serve them directly, and will operate additional flights to Nairobi.
