Finally !

After several months of suspension, the African Champions League, which began in August 2019, resumed its rights with the first semi-final played on Saturday between Wydad and Al Ahly (2-0).

The Cairo team won the first round for this first duel between Moroccans and Egyptians with a resounding victory (2-0) on the lawn of the winner of the trophy in 2017 and finalist in 2019. In an empty stadium, the Egyptians took this meeting from the right end by opening the scoring very quickly thanks to Mohamed Kafsha (4th).

The Moroccans, deprived of their public, will not be able to catch up and concede a second goal on a penalty from Ali Maaloul (62nd).

This is an ideal score for the record holder for Champions League titles (eight) who has been running behind his ninth since his success (1-1 / 2-0) in 2013 against Orlando Pirates (South Africa).

The return match is scheduled for Cairo next Friday 23 October.
