Al-Ahly of Egypt reached the semi-finals of the African Champions League for the fifth time in a row, after defeating Simba of Tanzania 2-0, on Friday, in the second leg of the quarter-finals. Amr Al-Soulia scored the lead goal in the 47th minute, before Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba added the second goal from a penalty kick in the ninth minute of stoppage time.

The Egyptian side won 3-0 on aggregate, and will face the winner of another quarter-final match between Petro Atletico and Congolese Mazembe.
